Overview of Ehrgeiz
Although the game is famous amongst Final Fantasy fans for the inclusion of popular Final Fantasy VII characters, it wasn't actually developed by the then Squaresoft,
but infact Namco (Dream Factory), who released it first in the Arcades. Squaresoft only published the Playstation One release back it 1998. It was quite
different from other fighting games at the time, and is very similar to the later released Power Stone for the Dreamcast. It allowed full 360-degree movement,
and fighters could even turn their backs on each other and run away.
Perhaps the most interesting inclusion to the Playstation One port though was the Dungeon mode, which was a Diablo-esque type action role-playing game, as well as
the inclusion of several mini-games.
